Whether your child is a new or experienced rider, if they love horses they'll have a great time at Double J's summer camps, where they can learn about english and western riding styles, horse grooming, and tack care. It’s four, fun-filled days of riding and socializing with other campers who have similar interests.
Campers will:
- Ride daily;
- Get to help bathe a horse;
- Make a horse-y t-shirt and paint a horse;
- Have the chance to try various riding styles -- including bareback;
- Participate in a closing-day horse show for family members.
Ages: 6 – 15 years old
Riding Experience: All levels
Our camps are designed for first-time riders, intermediate riders and advanced riders. Students will be placed in groups based on riding ability.
Lesson sessions & times:
All camps meet Monday - Thursday, 10:00 am - 2:30 pm.
AVAILABILITY AS OF JULY 1 --
- Session 5: July 12 - July 15
- Session 6: July 19 - July 22
- Session 7: July 26 - July 29
- Session 8: August 2 - August 5
- Session 9: August 9 - August 12
- Session 10: August 16 - August 19 -- FULL
Session cost: $250 per session.
- $100 deposit required at time of registration, balance due the 1st day of class. Deposit may only be refunded if cancellation is made one month prior to start of camp session.
Dress/Equipment & Lunch:
Students should wear long pants, heeled boots or shoes (no tennis shoes) and riding helmets. We provide helmets should you not have your own.
Campers will bring their own lunches Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and on the final day of camp, Thursday, Double J will provide either a cookout (or pizza, bad weather option).
